Asbel: Richard’s fiancé and the love of his life. Asbel is Richard’s favourite person on the planet, and it could perhaps be argued that his obsession with the boy is a bit unhealthy. He places all of his faith and trust in Asbel, but as a result he is a bit controlling and demanding.

That aside, he really loves Asbel. Asbel was his first love, and is quite possibly the only person that he can love. Because Asbel pulled him out of the pain and loneliness he was experiencing as a child, his infatuation started young. As life only got worse and worse for him, he began to cling to the memory of Asbel to the point that he came to strongly associate his friend with all that is positive in life. It is there that he fell in love, and it continues even now. 

Sophie: Asbel’s adopted daughter and someone he both trusts and adores. Because of her naivity, he sometimes finds himself uncertain how to behave around her—a product of his life being spent around adults, and formal ones at that, and rarely other children. He cares for her very much, though, so he does his best to care for her, and views her as both a friend and a daughter. He looks forward to marrying Asbel and therefore adopting her as his own, too. 

Lambda: Richard has a very love-hate relationship with Lambda. He respects Lambda and understands him on a rather…deep level, but at the same time he is somewhat bitter that the other made him hurt his friends. However, he truly wants to see Lambda come to feel more comfortable with humanity, and he wants to be part of the process of helping Asbel introduce Lambda to the good side of life. And maybe learn a bit himself. 

Malik: Richard respects Malik, and he enjoys teasing Asbel—and others—alongside the older man, but sometimes Malik pushes the line and gets on his nerves. Well, at least when Asbel is involved. For the most part, he enjoys spending time in the company of Malik, though, and he rather trusts him. Malik just needs to stop trying to spy on fem!Asbel. 

Hubert: Asbel’s younger brother and someone Richard has a lot of respect for. They are not overly close, but he respects Hubert a lot, and values his opinion. Hubert is also his link to Strahta, and if Richard was a bit angry at Hubert for the latter’s mistreatment of Asbel at one point, all is forgiven now. Unfortunately, they have not spoken much lately, and Richard does feel that he needs to reconnect with his future brother-in-law. 

Pascal: Like Hubert, Richard regrets that he has not really been keeping up with his newest friend. He values her input into situations, and respects her intelligence, but she is the member of the group that he knows the least. Because she is someone he is willing to call friend, however, he wants to get to know her better.

Cheria: Cheria is someone he has a lot of respect for, and in some ways he feels a bit guilty for stealing Asbel away from her. However, he respects how smoothly she let things go and that she can still be his friend through all of it. He also admires her drive and how much she cares about others.
